RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

The mountain of colors Vinicunca, is located in the Ausangate mountain range that is the highest mountain in Cusco ( 6384 meters), it is now know to be the most visited mountain after Machupicchu.

To enjoy the view we will ascend to a height of 5000 meters. This mountain was covered by snow from the past ice age, then with global warming, all the snow has disappeared leaving this multitude of colour leaving you spellbound in its beauty. It is recommended to visit between the months of April to October, since in the rainy season there can be very bad visability which hides the mountain in cloud.

ITINERARY:

4:30 a.m. - 4:45 a.m.

We will pick you up from your hotel and head to Cusipata, our first stopping place to have breakfast, then we continue for another hour to the begining of the trail. Walking for 90 minutes approximately to reach the viewpoint where your guide talks about the mountain and you have some time to take pictures, then start the return journey. Lunch is in Cusipata, after lunch we return Cusco arriving approximately at 5:30 p.m.
