Copacabana 2 Day Tour

Copacabana is a picturesque small town on the shores of lake Titicaca on the Bolivian side. The lake is at an altitude of about 3800 metres and is said to be the highest navigable lake in the world. Just a short boat ride away from the town of Copacabana is Isla del sol (The sun Island), according to Inca legend this island is the birth place of the sun and also the birth place of the first Incas.

ITINERARY:

Day 01.

LA PAZ - COPACABANA - ISLA DEL SOL (LAKE TITICACA).

The day begins with a 7am pick up from your hotel, from here we travel to Copacabana, bordering lake Titicaca, your hotel has impressive views of Cordillera. Here we have lunch before we board our boat that takes us to Isla del sol (the sun island). Here we will see the archeological remains of the Pilkokaina-Empleo Palace, the Inca fountain of youth and the 200 stairs of Yumani. After this you will be transferred back copacabana to your hotel.

Day 02.

VISIT TO COPACABANA - BUS COPACABANA LA PAZ / PUNO.

After breakfast we head to the Sanctuary of the Virgin Morena, the local market, and we will have time to climb the Calvario Hill. At midday we stop for lunch. After lunch we take the the tourist bus back to La Paz or continue to the city of Puno (Peru). You will be transferred back to your hotel.
