CHOQUEKIRAO 4 DAYS

Choquequirao (cradle of gold) one of the last Inca refuges after the spanish conquest, often compared to Machupicchu but we feel is more beautiful than its sister as Choquequirao structural and architectural similarities are staggering but Choquequirao is untouched, with hardly anyone there. Once visited this anciant city feels as if it belongs to you.

Choquequirao, is built on top of a mountain along the same Apurímac River, to get there it takes two days to travel and another two days to return. The buildings are mostly covered with vegetation, very much in the raw state - Matvhu Picchu was discovered years ago but without the same glory as Machu Picchu.

This route can be extended by walking onto Matchu Picchu, so reach Machupicchu in seven days of continuous road through Yanama.
