CAHUACHI PYRAMIDS

Cahuachi is one of the largest sets of pyramids and plazas built during pre-Hispanic times. Its 24 square kilometers of extension confirm it. It was the capital of the political and religious power of the rulers of the Nazca culture, many of the pyramids in this extensive area are covered with sand forming large dunes, the results carried out in the area demonstrated the presence of visitors to the place for various reasons and especially the religious.

ITINERARY:

• Our Tour to the Ruins of Cahuachi, begins with the pick up from your hotel in the city of Nazca. In a private vehicle we will go along the South Pan-American Highway, and then turn off to the right side of the track to enter through a trail and reach Cahuachi, which is about 28 kilometers from the city of Nazca.

  Already in the place our guide takes us through different places such as the great pyramid, where we find some human sacrifices. The great temple is another of the places that will be visited and the staggered temple, the place that had a cemetery, that is why bones woven by workers were observed on the ground in the place as ceramic fragments. Remains that show the looting that the place suffered by grave robbers called huaqueros.

  After our tour we return to the city of Nazca and transfer to your hotel. End of service.
