Choquequirao To Machu Picchu
7 DAYS
The Trek from Choquequirao to Machu Picchu is one of the more demanding Inca trail alternative routes, where at times the altitude reaches 4,668 metres on the Yanama Pass. It is strongly advised to spend 1 or 2 days in Cusco acclimatising to the high altitude before beginning this trek. This route is a unique, but rewarding alternative to the busier and more commonly travelled Inca Trail.
The walk itself begins in Cachora, about 155 km from the city of Cusco, and crossing the Apurímac canyon, the lowest point of our walk will be at the Rosalina bridge, and the highest at the Yanama pass. During this Scenic trek you will see Picturesque villages, stop at amazing viewpoints with stunning views of the mountains and watch condors soar over the Apurimac Canyon.
